Seek And Find has implemented an upgrade to its Publication Widget that will increase the exposure your ad receives online. That sounds great, but what does that mean, and what is a Publication Widget? The publication widget is HTML code that a church or organization adds to its Web site that allows its bulletins or newsletters, complete with your advertisement, to show up right on its own site, so not only can parishioners and community members find you on Seek And Find, but on their organization’s site as well! And, to make it as easy as possible for them to find you, we’ve added a link to the Sponsors page right to the widget. This link will appear in the second slot, ensuring members always see it. Now instead of having to search the back of the bulletin for a business, and then searching Seek And Find to find you, communities can now click straight to a categorized listing of all the sponsors. Check out the screen shot below to see what it looks like—and try clicking on the image to visit the parish’s site to see the sponsor link in action.

So what’s this month’s FIVE minute assignment? Make sure that once new customers find your Seek And Find listing that they know what to do next!
- Even if your business already has its own site, make sure you include a link to the site on your listing page, under Contact Information, and while you're there make sure your address, phone number, and other contact information on the Basic Info tab is up-to-date.
- Upload your company logo so that visitors are sure they've found the right business.
- Does the map show the right location for your business so customers can reach you?
- Does your listing page have a Description of your business so people know what products and/or services you provide, your hours of operation, and accepted payment types?
- Consider including a special promotion or coupon on your listing so you can see how much business is being driven through Seek And Find.
- And don’t forget to link your Twitter and Facebook pages so people can continue to follow you.
Now that more people can find you online, make sure you’re there to welcome, inform, and guide them!
