Adding a news feed to your Seek And Find listing is a great way to encourage regular visits to your page. Because they update regularly and automatically, they are a very low-maintenance way of providing fresh content to your page that keeps visitors engaged, interested, and coming back for more.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader," which will automatically update every time a new entry is added to the feed. You can easily add an RSS reader to your Seek And Find page. This is a great way to keep the content fresh and automatically updated without any future work from you!

Perhaps there is a blogger or news organization that covers topics that may be of interest to your customers. Add the RSS reader for that blog to your page. Or, if you have a blog on another site, you can easily add that to your Seek And Find page as well.

To add a news feed to your Seek And Find listing page:

  • Log in to your Seek And Find account and click Edit to the right of your business’ listing to go to the Edit Entry screen.
  • Click on the Communications tab and scroll down to the section that says, “Fill in the information below to enable a News Feeds block on your listing page:”
  • Paste the news feed URL into the News Feed URLs box. Many sites use the orange square with white radio waves symbol to indicate an available news feed (Figure 1).

  • Copy the URL to paste into the News Feed URLs box on your Seek And Find listing. Then in the box below you can give the news feed section of your listing page a title, and in the third box you can optionally limit the amount of headlines that appear (Figure 3).

You can even give your news feed a new title and limit the number of entries displayed

  • After entering the information, don’t forget to check the Terms & Conditions box and hit the red button to make the changes to your page.
  • At the bottom of your listing page the news feed now appears (Figure 4)!
